Terms of use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Jobsmith app (“the app”), made by Jobsmith Apps, a trading name of Yasin Jamil, a sole trader in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you download the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies.
1. Using Jobsmith
Jobsmith helps you create quotes, schedule jobs, send invoices and keep track of payments. You may use it for your own business. You are responsible for the information you enter and the documents you send, including prices, VAT, payment terms and your clients' details.
2. Free and Pro
Jobsmith is free to download. The free plan includes a monthly allowance of quotes and invoices and the features described in the app. Jobsmith Pro is an optional subscription that removes the monthly limits and unlocks extra features, as shown on the upgrade screen in the app.
3. Subscriptions, free trials and cancelling
- Jobsmith Pro is available monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google through your App Store or Google Play account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- If a free trial is offered, you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
4. Your data
Your information is stored on your own device, as explained in our privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping backups — the app includes a backup feature for this. If your subscription ends, you keep access to everything you have already entered.
5. Not professional advice
Figures, tax-year summaries, VAT information and reminders in the app are provided to help you run your business. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. Always check important figures and decisions with an accountant or HMRC guidance.
6. Our responsibility
We work hard to make Jobsmith reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or free from errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost data, arising from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Fair use
Please don't misuse the app — for example by trying to bypass subscription limits, copying or reselling the app, or using it to break the law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the app develops. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and mention significant changes in the app's release notes.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
